Multiple Intelligence dan terjemahannya

Howard Gardner theorizes that every human being has a combination of intelligence. These are called multiple intelligence and he gives us 8 major ones; Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Nature, Music, Spatial-Logic, Visual and Body/Kinesthetic.

Bakat is a by product of intelligence. Tapi dari segi terjemahan akan ada kekaburan. I feel the translation for intelligence that Howard Gardner is referring to is not kepandaian or bakat tetapi ia lebih kepada kecerdikan. Ini kerana bagi saya, kepandaian terhasil daripadaa pelajaran, kebijaksanaan hasil daripada pengalaman manakala bakat merupakan hasil daripada minat dan latihan. Kecerdikan pula menjurus kepada cara berfikir.

The Simplicity Series: Simplicity #3 – My Currency is Time

My time is my currency – RM doesn’t stand for Ringgit Malaysia. For me it stands for Rezeki Masa. The funny thing about this currency of mine is that it will always be valuable, doesn’t appreciate or depreciates, recession proof and I have exactly what I need all the time at every moment. No interest, no riba. Just constant. I can’t save it. I need to spend it now or it will be spent for me. Maha Kaya, kesyukuran kepada mu. Amin.

What is time to me?

well 1stly kta kena redha bahawa masa itu tidak akan menunggu sesiapa (demi masa manusia sentiasa dalam kerugian kecuali mereka yg…) 2ndly kita juga kena redha bahawasanya semua org diberikan masa yg sama, tidak lebih tidal kurang
once we are clear about this we then look at time itself
if time doesn’t wait for me; therefore, how can i actually manage time since I have no control over it. I can only manage something i can control right?

therefore, the first conclusion is: i can’t manage time. It is not time that I manage, it is the task that I manage. 1st context work. I don’t manage time, i manage task
manage self with time or through time?
of course through time
so the fact that u say u kurang masa means you live in the context of I manage time
which to me is a ‘false’ context since i can’t manage time
therefore there is no such thing as kurang masa. it is just me yg tai pandai uruskan my actions

that comes to the 2nd context of time which is we are all given the same time. since it is an equal commodity, it is really up to me to utilize it. It is not about looking for more time because there is none to look for more. Therefore if there is no more extra time to look for to fill my so called “kurang masa” where can I have “more time”? By being effective with the time given to me. Therefore, more time is not an outside endeavor but an inside one i.e. my attitude about my time.

Pintu Rezeki Terbuka Waktu Pagi

Pintu is a gateway, a start, an opening. So when it is said to be pintu, I think what it really means is that how we are in the morning will determine our rezeki for that day. If we enter the day with positiveness, rezeki will be positive. If we enter the day with negativity, our rezeki will be negative; either way it is still our rezeki.

I have had this conversation before with my eldest son Haikal. He use to wake up grumpy and I said to him, if you wake up smiling and happy, the day will turn out smiley and happy. Just like young kids; waking up full of energy and see how their day always is, full of play and happiness. My 2 cents worth this morning.
