Looks simple

Making things look and feel simple is not easy.

It takes mastery to make things difficult simple. Never mistaken simplicity with less work or ideas or wisdom or understanding. In fact it requires more of all these factor.

I shall be a simple as possible so that I attain knowledge & wisdom along my journey to simplicity. Amin.

One of the best line in a movie… ever!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson; Coach Carter-

Doors are a funny thing

Is a door  a way out or a way in? What is our first mode when it comes to door? What mood do we hold a door?

Yes, I know it is both. However, look deeper. What is your first reaction to doors? That could just be an insight on how we see any form of opening; an entry or an exit.

Opportunity in life is also like a door. Intellectually we know it is both an entry or an exit however what does our heart feels? What is our first reaction, intuition about it? That is what matters most. The split second response will determine we examine the opportunity in the light or mood of excitement or of caution.

Training ourself to develop a sense of balance is rather difficult; as in anything in the context of our believes. Nevertheless, just because we can’t attain it should not stop us from endeavoring towards it.

So for today, I shall continue my endeavor towards perfection even thought I know it can never be attained (or maybe that in itself is perfection!).

Yang Comel & Molek

If we want to see the ugly, we will. The same goes for beauty. There is a mix of both in everything that we experience. We don’t need the skill to sieve through this. That ability we have.

It is the ability to choose to see both and be empower by both is the skill that is much needed.

Today, I shall be inspired by both!

Of kids & learning

Kids not only learn from us we also learn from them.

They always remind me of what purity of being is; without judgement, discrimination, bad faith.

I am blessed to not only have my own kids to learn from but also be involved periodically with other kids to keep me in check.

Here is to adult-kids interaction; may there be more!

Today someone offered a thank you to me for giving him an opportunity.

While I value his appreciation, at the same time felt that I didn’t really do anything special because he deserved the opportunity given to him.

This got me thinking that at the core of opportunity; the source of an opportunity, is not someone else but us. We created the opportunity. It has nothing to do with someone else. The other person is merely responding to that creation. This is because an opportunity is given based on how a person shows up; dependent on the person the opportunity is being offered.

There goes luck 🙂
